I am a member of several groups of female programmers and I can confidently say that there are many of us, both front and back, in all technologies. Maybe there are not so many WordPress developers, because girls are very practical, and there is an opinion that PHP is “yesterday’s news”, and they go to learn Python or Java.
As for the party, girls often do not join it because they are afraid of rude and sarcastic programmers. Well, what can I say, there is something in this. But they mainly tease those who cannot formulate a question phone number library correctly. For example, the classic “I clicked somewhere and everything disappeared” will cause a flurry of irony, and the problem described in detail will be solved. In fact, everyone remembers how they started from scratch.

— Does it matter whether it's a boy or a girl? Should we try to balance the team or is it not important?
Well, I wish there were girls on the team! I could discuss the dress and all that. But now I have to go to the designers or project managers with it.

Honestly, there is no recipe. If I run into someone "from the outside", I, of course, invite them to us, because we have much more fun than StackOverflow.
